Housewifery Ideals

My retro ideals and Housewifery in general is getting alot of attention in the media these days. The Daily Mail, UK has been running great articles and I read faithfully every day to see what they are running each day. This particular article got my back up a little though.

I feel like I should clarify what I view as Housewifery.
I feel like it doesn't have to be all or nothing and not everyone has to want the same thing. I personally prefer staying home and being a "50s wife" but that doesnt make me any less interesting to my man.

There are these wonderful things called hobbies, and books, and the internet. You don't have to work to be interesting. On the flip side, you don't have to stay home to be a good wife. It's all about finding out what works for you and choosing that path. Feminism was about giving women the CHOICE to do what they liked. Not forcing them into work or forcing them into staying home.

A woman should not be made to feel less interesting because she wants to stay home nor should she be made to feel less of a wife if she goes out to work. In the end, it's all about you and your relationship.
