Sewing Back in Time
You may remember that I'd been toying with the ideas of truly learning to sew my own clothes. Well about a month ago I started taking classes at a local college and I love it!Last week as I was heading into class I noticed that they'd changed the display walls and thought you might like to see the gorgeous vintage dresses and patterns they had on display.
Needless to say, it took every ounce of willpower I had not to rip those dresses off of the wall and run away with them! ;-)

I think I need to take some 'sew your own clothing' lessons too. Gosh I love retro dresses too, I wish I had hips like those girls back then did also...
Gorgeous! You know, I can totally see you in both of those dresses. You'd look utterly fab! Can't wait to see pics of you turning out frocks like this, chickadee.
You have amazing willpower. I, too, would have wanted to dash off with them!
I wish a local college here would offer a class. I've tried to find out, but no luck.
What is the name of your class? Maybe I'm typing in the wrong set of words!
Roxanne
I have some of those patterns :)
What are they doing with them after the display? Maybe you'll get to snatch one if they are just for the display. So cute.
Can't say that I blame you for wanting to rip them down and abscond with them! I have one of those lacy overlay vintage dresses - I wore it to a friend's wedding years ago I still love it. Unfortunately, it's packed away somewhere, and I'm not altogether sure that it would still fit.
I freaking love that first dress. If you want to go back and steal it, I will totally cover you...
You should sneek back at night and take those home with you anyway...
You should have taken them! Especially that pattern by Ceil Chapman!
oh my! that last dress just stole my very own heart! sigh...
